The Pākalā Kids (2020)

Synopsis

On the run from her mom in Pākalā Village, Kauaʻi, 11-year-old Hawaiian girl, Lani, takes her best friend Dixie, a spunky Asian girl, on a hike up Waimea Canyon. Hoping to make the most of this day, Lani, who’s love of her culture perhaps exceeds her actual knowledge of it, attempts to share her traditions with Dixie, who would much rather fool around. These two conflicting egos must put aside their differences and celebrate their friendship before the day draws to a close.

Synopsis

Pua Warriors is an ‘magical girl’ animated short film about Leilani, a quick tempered Hawaiian girl, and her friends, Ayaka and Jasmine, who need to prevent a sludge monster from destroying their hometown on Hawaiʻi island. But when Ayaka eats all of Leilani’s food, Leilani’s anger prevents her from using her full power to defeat the monster.

Synopsis

(seen above on the image or read here) Pele, the hot-tempered volcano goddess, races Kamupua'a, the shapeshifting trickster, from Puna to Hilo. Kamupua'a is confident, but Pele knows Hawai'i. No way is this mana wahine losing to some Pua'a Kolohe! After traversing the land and helping a few friend along the way, She speeds towards the glimmering finish line. Win or lose, Pele must put aside her stubbornness and realize that the journey made the destination worth reaching.

Synopsis

Midnight Showing is a wacky animated horror film following Angel, an utterly exhausted movie theatre usher, on the most frightening closing shift of his life. When nobody arrives for a midnight movie premiere, Angel eagerly closes up early, angering a menacing phantom that haunts the theatre.
